Reserve Bank of India has lifted the per day cash withdrawal limits from current accounts, cash credit accounts and overdraft accounts with immediate effect on Monday.

"Limits placed vide the circulars cited above on cash withdrawals from Current accounts/ Cash credit accounts/ Overdraft accounts stand withdrawn with immediate effect." a RBI release issued on Monday said. In the same order, the RBI said that the limits placed on cash withdrawals from ATMs would be lifted from February 1. This means the saving accounts holders would be able to withdraw Rs. 24,000 at one go using ATMs on a single day. But the weekly withdrawal limit from savings accounts remain Rs. 24,000. //DD News// (AKS-30/01) |
